Say it with…Handmade Gifts

Hello again! It is Friday so that means another challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps.

I often make card sets to give as gifts for birthdays and Christmas, so that it what I have made here. I have seen a lot of negative die cut images used in Blogland of late, so I thought I would try my hand at it. This beautiful card by Carly Robertson was all the inspiration that I needed. There are 6 cards in the set, complete with a box to house them in.

I clear embossed the cursive background (BBD#6) behind the heart and popped the front panel onto some foam dimensionals. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Dotted Flowers set.

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps “Dotted Flowers” stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps “BBD#6” stamp set
Ink: Versafine Ink – Onyx Black, VersaMark Watermark ink
Card: Regal Craft Card – White textured, Bazzil card stock – various colours
Other Supplies: AnnaBelle 4mm pearls, Fiskars stamp press, American Crafts clear embossing powder, heat gun, anti static pad, Die-Namics Hearts-a-Plenty die, Cuttlebug, foam dimensionals, AnnaBelle Kraft Box C6, Sheer white ribbon

AnnaBelle Sketch Challenge

Welcome to a sketch challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps. Hope that you can find time to play along with us. My offering this week is not a card, but a bauble to hang on the Christmas Tree. Something a little different and I love how it turned out. For those of you who took the recent Holiday Card Boot camp, you will see I got a little of my inspiration from there.

I used the poinsettia flower from the “Squared Posies” set which I heat embossed in white, then coloured with Fired Brick Distress Stain and spritzed with pearlised water. This is the first time I have used distress stains and I LOVE them! Will have to add some more to the little stash I have I think! The text in the background is BBD #6 set and the sentiment is from the “Holly Branch” set. I added some shine with a pile of silver metallic sprinkles.

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps “Squared Posies” stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps  “Holly Branch” stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps BBD #6  stamp set
Ink:  Distress Ink – Fired Brick, Peeled Paint, Distress Stain – Fired Brick
Card:  AnnaBelle stamps smooth white card
Other Supplies: American Crafts white embossing powder, heat gun, Spellbinders circle die – small, Cuttlebug, Creative Memoriescircle cutters, Ranger – Perfect Pearls, mini mister, foam dimensionals, thin silver ribbon, Carl Craft square punch, WRMK corner chomper, silver metallic sprinkles (3mm, 4mm and 5mm), Ranger blending tool

Hope that you can join in and play along – the winner will receive a $15 Gift voucher to the store. Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT have created including our Guest Designer Sue McRae. All the DT Girls links are on my sidebar – why not leave them some love?

Until next time,

Marion

AnnaBelle Stamps Blog Hop

Hello again and welcome to another AnnaBelle Stamps Blog Hop. You should have arrived from the sweet and talented Patti’s blog. If you want to start the hop from the beginning, head on over to the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog. Are you in the mood to win a fabulous stamp set? Well read on.

Today the Belles are showcasing the stamp set “Holly Branch”. This would have to be one of my favourite Christmas stamp sets from AnnaBelles…but then again there are so many beautiful Christmas stamp sets in the store…

For today’s card, I have taken some inspiration from a couple of cards that Jennifer McGuire has showed us in Holiday Card Boot Camp 2011. I have been enjoying the classes, but have not had a chance to have a play until now – been too busy writing school reports! Would you believe that this is my FIRST ever shaped card?

I made the holly wreath (I did a little tutorial a while ago – you can see it here) and then I cut it out…was a bit fiddly, but I think worth it. Coloured it in with Copics and added some pearls (that I coloured in with Copics as well as I ran out of AnnaBelle cherry sprinkles!) I did a little background stamping with BBD #6 (LOVE that stamp set).

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps  “Holly Branch” stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps BBD #6  stamp set
Ink: Versafine Ink – Onyx Black, Mementos – Tuxedo Black, Distress Ink – Bundled Sage, Versacolor – Umber
Card:  XPress-It Blending card, Regal Craft Card (smooth white card), Bazzill – Raisin
Other Supplies: Copic markers, foam dimensionals, AnnaBelle Pearls 3mm, 4mm and 5mm,  Grosgrain ribbon – red, Creative Memories Circle cutters, Kaisercraft Patterned Paper – Seaside Collection

Thanks for stopping by…and now you are hopping over to the AnnaBelle Blog. Don’t forget to add your name to the inlinkz below for your chance to win this fabulous stamp set! Make sure you visit all the DT and leave them some love as well as this month’s guest designer Sue McRae.

How to Play:

To keep our hop as fun and simple as possible, click through each of the DT blogs to see what they’ve created using this set. You can comment if you like, and leave your name using the Inlinkz on any of the DT blogs, or on the ABS blog. You don’t have to comment on all of our blogs, just remember to add your name for your chance to win the Blog Hop prize which is the Holly Branch stamp set.

Say it in…Lime, Black and White

It is Friday so that means it is time for another challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps. This week’s challenge made me put my thinking cap on and have a good old think!

I have had in mind to do a button tree for a little while now – and I thought this was the perfect challenge to give it a try. I am pretty happy with the results and I think it would make a great male card! (How is it when I want to make a masculine card I can’t and when I don’t really try, I can?)

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps “Tree-MEN-dous” stamp set
Ink: Versafine Ink – Onyx Black, Versacolor – Bamboo
Card: Regal Craft Card – White textured
Other Supplies: Spotty patterned paper – Brand unknown, AnnaBelle Stamps natural jute twine, Buttons galore (mostly Basic Grey, but others just from my stash), Glossy Accents (to adhere the buttons)

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the DT have created, including our Guest Designer Sue McRae. Their links are on my side bar. Hope you can play along with us!

Say it in…Sentiments

Welcome to another challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps. This week’s challenge is one that made my heart skip a beat – Say it with Sentiments.

I didn’t use as many sentiments as I had planned to, but I did use one sentiment many times…hope this still counts! Either way, I had fun making this card and I hope that it inspires you to play along with us!

I finally got to play with some new MFT dies that I won about a month ago – LOVE them! I used a tiny little ‘love’ sentiment from the Squared Posies set and also the background script stamp from BBD6 set. I finished it off with some AnnaBelle pearls and a twine bow! I am entering this into the current Wee Memories Challenge #74 – to use buttons, brads or bows.

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps “Squared Posies” stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps “Backgrounds By Design 6” stamp set
Ink: Distress Ink – Barn Door, Versafine Ink – Vintage Sepia
Card: Regal Craft Card – White textured
Other Supplies: AnnaBelle Rose pearls – 4mm, AnnaBelle Stamps natural jute twine, MFT die – Hearts-a-Plenty, MFT  die – Layered Labels, Cuttlebug, Paper piercer, Tim Holtz Ruler, sponge dauber, foam dimensionals
