ABSC046

Happy Friday everyone,

Hope that you can play along with our sketch challenge this week at AnnaBelle Stamps. See below for the challenge guidelines.

I often see cards in blogland where the stamps and colours are layered. I love cards like this, but I must admit it is not really my style. However I love to challenge myself and decided to give it a go using this week’s sketch. I thought it was safe to use a small frame, rather than tackle layered stamping onto a whole card front. And I added some butterflies with vellum wings (again) like I did on last week’s card.

Supplies:

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps Garden Silhouettes stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps Fanciful Flowers stamp set (sentiment)
Ink: VersaFine ink – Onyx Black, Distress Inks – Frayed Burlap, Worn Lipstick, Antique Linen, Old Paper
Card: Regal Craft Card – white textured, X Press It Blending card, Hero Arts Folded card – Hero Hues – Blush
Other Supplies: Martha Stewart Butterfly punch, vellum, foam dimensionals, Glossy Accents (to adhere butterflies/pearls), AnnaBelle Stamps pearls, Martha Stewart Score Board, Cuttlebug, Die-Namics Layered Label Die

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the DT have created as well as our January guest designer Cath Dean. The Belles’ links are on my side bar.

Thanks for visiting!

Marion

Class cards

Just thought I would share some more cards that I made for the CAS class. This first one I made on the very first day of class but never posted it! It is another interpretation of Kristina sketch from Day 1.

I made a mask and then did some sponging to create the cloudy sky. The bunting is coloured in with Copics and then covered with Glossy Accents.

And finally this is a set of cards that I made before Christmas as a gift set for my son’s preschool teacher. Even though it was made before the class, it fits into the CAS card sets as shown by Julie on Day 10. I LOVE card sets and make a lot of them. They make the perfect home made gift. It is a simplified version of this card that I made for the Summer Card Boot Camp.

They are all coloured with Copics and the bee and flower centres are covered with Glossy Accents – of course! I made 2 of each colour combo.

Supplies:

{Just for you}

Stamps: Hero Arts Kiss From the Sun stamp set (CL439), Hero Arts All Occasion Messages (CL272), AnnaBelle Stamps Fanciful Flowers stamp set (for the sting)
Ink:  VersaFine ink – Onyx Black, Distress Ink – Tumbled Glass
Card: Regal Craft cards – white smooth, X-Press It Blending card
Other Supplies: Copic markers, foam dimensionals, Glossy Accents, Blending tool

{Just a note}

Stamps: Jane’s Doodles Garden friends stamp set,  AnnaBelle Stamps Garden Silhouettes stamp set (sentiment)
Ink: Memento – Tuxedo black, VersaFine ink – Onyx Black
Card: Hero Arts folded cards – Hero Hues – Pool, X-Press It Blending card

Welcome baby – Print Candee

Hi everyone,

This month at Print Candee the Creative Team are making some fun projects with the theme of ‘Anything Goes’. My biggest problem was deciding which products to choose! Have you been to the store yet? There are hundreds of awesome digital products to choose from.

My sister-in-law is about to have a baby so I though that I would create some baby cards – I have all bases covered, depending on what she has! Now that is organisation!

These projects were simple to create. I layered up the clothesline image over the top of the background paper in Illustrator (same thing can also be done in Photoshop or Microsoft Word) and printed them off onto some Leather grain card. I did change the opacity of the background digi paper so that it was a little more subdued. I printed the clothesline images out again so that I could create some dimension. To add extra detail to the clothing, I used my Prismacolor pencils to add some shading.

Supplies:

Digital Images/Stamps: Jane’s Doodles Noah Ark stamp (sentiment), Spring Fling Paper Pack (The Digi Butterfly), Baby Boy Clothesline Clipart (Pink Pueblo), Baby Girl Clothesline Clipart (Pink Pueblo)
Ink: Canon colour printer, VersaFine Ink – Onyx Black
Card: Leather grain white card stock, Regal Craft Card – white textured
Other Supplies: Kaisercraft pearls – snow, Carl craft punch – small heart, Googly eyes, Prismacolor pencils, Glossy Accents

Thanks for dropping by. Digital images are fun to play with – why not give them a go? Check out all the goodies that Print Candee has to offer.

Until next time,

Marion

Say it in…Yellow, Lime and Turquoise

Hi everyone,

Welcome to another challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps. This week is a colour challenge. It certainly got me thinking – and I enjoyed that! I made my own coloured background by inking up some card with 3 distress inks and then punching them out with a small heart punch. The time consuming bit was gluing them all down. The butterflies were stamped with BBD#6 and then I gave them a vellum set of wings over the top, as Julie Ebersole demonstrated on Day 6 of the Clean and Simple class. This is my card for the class gallery using a white background – I LOVE white space!

The sentiment is from the Fanciful Flowers set that has just been released. It doesn’t really show in the photo, but I spritzed the hearts with pearlised water to give them some shine.

Hopefully you will find some time to play along with us this week. Go on and challenge yourself!

Now on a different note, this week is the very last Wee Memories Challenge. I have really enjoyed playing along with this challenge over the last couple of months and I will miss it! So I just HAD to dive in and play along. I am entering the following card into the current Wee Memories Challenge #83 – A sketch challenge.

This card doesn’t use this week’s challenge colours, but it does use AnnaBelle stamps. Backgrounds By Design #7 (BBD#7) and the sentiment is from the newly released Love Birds set.

I usually struggle with sketch challenges, but this one came together quite quickly (for me anyway!) I got the idea to use the gingham stamp on the hearts when I saw this card by my fellow DT Jess.

Supplies:

[Butterflies on Hearts card]

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps Fanciful Flowers stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps Backgrounds By Design#6 stamp set
Ink: VersaFine ink – Onyx Black, Distress Inks – Broken China, Crushed Olive, Mustard Seed
Card: Regal Craft Card – white textured, white card, Bazzill – olive colour
Other Supplies: Martha Stewart Butterfly punch, foam dimensionals, vellum, Glossy Accents (to adhere butterflies), AnnaBelle Stamps 4mm pearls, Carl Craft heart punch – small, tombow adhesive, Ranger Perfect Pearls, mini mister

[Because card]

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps Backgrounds by Design #7 stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps Love Birds  stamp set
Ink: Onyx Black, Distress Ink – Spun Sugar, Fired Brick
Card: AnnaBelle Stamps pre-scored white card, Regal Craft card – textured
Other Supplies: Die-namics Hearts-a-Plenty dies, Cuttlebug, AnnaBelle Stamps Natural cotton twine, , Kaisercraft grosgrain ribbon – pink, foam dimensionals, Fiskars small scallop punch

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the DT have created as well as our January guest designer Cath Dean. The Belles’ links are on my side bar.

Thanks for staying with me!

Love Always

Hi everyone,

I finally got a chance to have another play around with some techniques/ideas that have been demonstrated in class. This is what I can up with this morning. I layered up the hearts as shown by Jennifer McGuire on Day 3.

I love that I didn’t have to use any foam dimensionals! I would never have thought to do it this way.

For this next card I used the same technique as above, but made a window card like Kristina did on Day 6.

Stamps: Hero Arts All Occasion Messages (CL272)
Ink: VersaFine Ink – Onyx Black
Card: Hero Arts folded cards – Hero Hues – Blush, white card
Other Supplies: Cuttlebug die – Concentric Hearts, Cuttlebug, Tombow adhesive, AnnaBelle Stamps 4mm pearls, square punch (to create the banner ends)

{Love Always – Second card}

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps Fanciful Flowers stamp set
Ink: Versamark Watermark ink
Card: Hero Arts folded cards – Hero Hues – Blush, white card
Other Supplies: Zing white embossing powder, heat gun, Cuttlebug die – Concentric Hearts, Cuttlebug, Tombow adhesive, Kaisercraft pearls, White gel pen (signo), antistatic pillow

Robot Bookmark

Today we went to a birthday party, so I needed something that was suitable for a 4 year old. I won a set of robot stamps last year from The Stamps of Life and I haven’t really inked them up until now. My aim was to make a personalised card, but it ended up as a bookmark! It is funny how things turn out sometimes.

I am entering this into the current Simon Says Stamp Chipboard Challenge over at Lilypad cards. I used chipboard fabric Thickers letters to personalise the bookmark – and covered them with glossy accents to add a bit of shine.

And to wrap the present, I stamped robots onto some paper and and my 5 year old son and 2 year old daughter coloured them in. They had so much fun!

Supplies:

Stamps: The Stamps of Life “robots2build” by Stephanie Barnard
Ink: Memento – Tuxedo Black, Distress inks – Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans, Weathered Wood
Card: X-Press It Blending card, Bazzill card – Navy Blue
Other Supplies: Copic markers, American crafts Thickers chipboard fabric letters, Glossy Accents, Kaisercraft turquoise ribbon, AnnaBelle Stamps Natural cotton thread, Basic Grey button – blue, foam dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by,

Marion
