Print Candee – Tea-riffic!

Today I am popping in with a fun little card I have made using some Print Candee products. The Creative Team will be posting some lovely creations over the next week with the theme of thank you cards/projects for specific people (e.g: a teacher, mail man, hair stylist, etc.)

Being a teacher myself, I know that a little note of thanks can go a long way – so that is why I have made a card for a teacher. I can across this cute little tutorial and had to give it a try.

I used 3 lots of digital papers. The cup is made from the Buttercup paper pack (Digital Potpourri), the tag and inside pocket is made from the Chevron Pattern Digital Scrapbooking Paper pack (Fancy Dog Studios) and the Flower is made from the Owlicious (Happy Colors) paper pack.

The inside of the card – very punny!

The inside pocket which holds the tea bag.

Kinda cute don’t you think? Be on the look out for the other Creative Team projects as well. Their links are on my side bar.

Supplies

Digital Images/Stamps: Chevron Pattern Digital Scrapbooking Paper (Fancy Dog Studios)Buttercup paper pack (Digital Potpourri), Owlicious (Happy Colors) Paper Pack (Print Candee), Hero Arts Envelope pattern woodblock stamp (on the leaves)

Ink: Canon colour printer, Distress Inks – Mustard Seed, Worn Lipstick, Versacolor – Green Tea

Card: White card

Other Supplies: MFT Upsy Daisy Die, Quickcuts tag die, Sizzix Sizzlits die – Flowers Branches and Leaves, Cuttlebug, AnnaBelle Stamps 4mm and 3mm pearls, Tombow adhesive, Carl Craft Daisy punch – medium, SEI Button, AnnaBelle Stamps 0.8mm hemp twine – natural, Paper Smooches EAD Thank you rub-ons, tea bag, ink blending tool.

Say it With…Stitching

Welcome to another challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps.

(Tag aco72)

Well this week I decided to challenge myself. I see loads of great cards with machine stitching on them, which I love. To be honest, I have never tried machine stitching on a card before as I have been too lazy to drag out the old sewing machine! I don’t have a craft room, so my space is limited, but this challenge made me dust off the cobwebs on my machine…and for my first attempt, I still managed to sew in a straight line (considering I haven’t used the thing in about 6 years!) My sister will be proud of me as she is a seamstress!

Obviously I am a little obsessed with creating my own dry embossed background on my score board (it is a phase that will no doubt end soon)…as this is about my 3rd card doing it! I have used BBD#7 for the gingham on the love hearts and the sentiment is from the Love Birds set.

I am entering this into the Gingham Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

Supplies

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps BBD#7 stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps Love Birds Stamp set

Ink: Memento ink – Blue Danube

Card: AnnaBelle Stamps smooth white cardstock, AnnaBelle Stamps Pre-cut smooth white square cards, Navy Blue card stock (brand unknown)

Other Supplies: Carl Craft heart punch – large and small, sponge dauber, sewing machine, Fiskars scallop border punch, Foam dimensionals, Martha Stewart score board, scoring stylus

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the rest of the DT projects. Their links are on my sidebar.

Until next time,

Marion

Topical Tuesday Video (tt014)

Hi everyone,

Today I have a video to share with you that I have created for AnnaBelle Stamps. To view it you will have to head over to the Stamp, Embellish, Create site at AnnaBelle Stamps and click on the link.

I decided to create a card using the tapped embossed resist technique. Previously I used this technique to create these cards, so I decided to show you how I did this – just changing up the final product a bit (as I find it hard to make the same card twice!) Go here to view the video.

Supplies

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps “Fanciful Flowers” stamp set

Ink: Versafine – Onyx Black, Distress Inks – Fired Brick, Spiced Marmalade

Card: AnnaBelle Stamps smooth white card stock

Other Supplies: AnnaBelle Stamps clear embossing powder, heat tool, anti-static pillow, My Mind’s Eye Lost and Found paper pack, foam dimensionals, AnnaBelle Stamps 3mm and 4mm pearls, Tombow adhesive, blending tool, Spellbinders Labels 8 die, Cuttlebug, Martha Stewart Score Board, scoring stylus

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find the time to give this technique a try,

Marion

Thankfully I had some cute little roses in my stash which made the job a lot easier! I clear embossed BBD#3 onto some kraft cardstock and the sentiment is from Fanciful Flowers. I even pulled out some patterned paper – a rarity for me.

Print Candee Blog Hop

Hey there crafty lovers,

Glad that you have joined me for this month’s blog hop at Print Candee. You should have arrived from Jocelyn’s blog. The Creative Team have been busy creating cards inspired by this photo.

I love all the summery colours. I was drawn to the middle bag on the left with all the rainbow stripes and the cool texture. It inspired this birthday card for a friend’s daughter who was having a rainbow themed birthday party! I think personalised cards are extra special.

I used the Rainbow Dots Paper Pack from The Digi Butterfly making sure I used the same colour sequence as the photo and the hexagon embossing folder gives the card great texture (like on the bag).

Supplies

Digital Images: Rainbow Dots Paper Pack (The Digi Butterfly)

Ink: Canon colour printer, Versacolor – Atlanta Blue, Tea Green, Orange, Camellia, Kaisercraft – Corn

Card: Regal Craft Cards – Textured white square pre-scored card, Bazzill card – beige

Other Supplies: MFT Butterflies die-namics, Cuttlebug, Sponge daubers, Craft Concepts – Hexagon Illusions embossing folder, AnnaBelle Stamps 4mm Icicles, Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue, craft wire – black, foam dimensionals, American Crafts Thickers, Martha Stewart 3 in 1 butterfly punch

Head on over to the store and check out the HUGE range of digital products available.

Thanks for stopping by,

Marion

AnnaBelle sketch Challenge #49

Happy Friday everyone. Well it is the end of the month so that means a sketch challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps.

(Tag absc049)

This week I have had some fun playing around with some techniques that have been taught in the online card class ‘A Cut Above‘. Such fun! I have never used my spellbinders just for embossing before – I always die cut! I love the subtle effect. The score lines around the focal panel were made using my score board. The flowers are from the AnnaBelle set Daisy Delight and the sentiment is from Fanciful Flowers. I heat embossed the flowers onto coloured cardstock and then added some subtle shading with Copics.

Supplies

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps Daisy Delight, AnnaBelle Stamps Fanciful Flowers stamp set (sentiment)

Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black

Card: AnnaBelle Stamps pre-cut cards, Bazzill – navy blue, Hero Arts Layering Papers – Pool and Carnation

Other Supplies: AnnaBelle Stamps white embossing powder, Anti- static pillow, heat tool, AnnaBelle Stamps pearls, Martha Stewart Score board, Cuttlebug, Spellbinders dies Labels 8, Copic markers, Sizzix sizzlits – Flowers, Branches and Leaves, Fiskars scallop border punch, foam dimensonals

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the rest of the DT projects. Their links are on my sidebar.

Until next time,

Marion
