Say it with…Paper Piecing

Friday has rolled around again, so that means another challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps. This week is a fun one…who doesn’t love a paper piecing challenge?

(Tag aco76)

Today the Belles are giving you a peek at some new AnnaBelle stamps that are being officially released into the store this afternoon at 4pm (AEST). Be sure to head to the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog at 4pm for the full release AND for a give away!! In the meantime you’ll just have to check out the Belle’s creations for some hints.

I have created a little scene today, masking off everything outside the circle using Mask It.

The kite is covered in Glossy Accents to give it a little shine…but it doesn’t show in the photo very well. I added some simple Copic shading to the trees and grass. I probably should have added some to the kite, but only thought of that now!

For this one I put the sentiment inside the card…something I never seem to do. Don’t know why really!

Supplies

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps Tomorrow’s Dream stamp set

Ink: Versafine – Onyx Black, Distress Inks – Broken China, Faded Jeans, Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Versacolor – Green Tea, Memento ink – Danube Blue

Card: AnnaBelle Stamps pre-cut smooth white cards – square

Other Supplies: Blending tool, Mask It, Copic Markers, Spellbinders circle die – Standard circles small, Cuttlebug, foam dimensionals, My Mind’s Eye paper – Lost and Found (Kite), Kaisercraft paper (trees), Brand unknown patterned paper (clouds), Glossy Accents, Mask It

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the rest of the DT projects. Their links are on my sidebar. And don’t forget to head to the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog at 4pm for the full release and a giveaway!

Until next time,

Marion

You’re in my Thoughts

Due to the long (wet and wintery) weekend that we’ve had here in Australia, I’ve managed to get crafty and ink up some stamps that I haven’t had a chance to ink up. I have created this one for the current Hero Arts challenge which has a ‘Thinking of You’ theme.

Using distress markers, I coloured right onto the stamp, spritzed with pearlised water and then stamped onto watercolour paper. Such a fun technique (which I have never tried before!) This is another reason why I LOVE my distress markers! I highly recommend them.

Supplies

Stamps:Hero Arts Etched Flowers (CG430), Hero Arts Live and Laugh (CL520)

Ink: Versafine – Vintage Sepia, Distress markers – Worn Lipstick, Fired Brick, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss

Card: Aquarello watercolour paper, Hero Arts Blush (mixed folding cards)

Other Supplies: Mini mister, Perfect pearls,  Martha Stewart Butterfly punch (3 in 1), vellum, AnnaBelle Stamps pearls – 3mm and 4mm, foam dimensionals, Gloss accents (to adhere butterflies).

Thanks for stopping by.

Say it with…Plum, Blue and Raspberry

Hello there crafty friends,

I am so glad that it is Friday! Not only because it is time for another challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps, but because I can say that I have FINALLY finished writing my school reports! Yay!

Anyway, onto this week’s challenge…a colour challenge.

(Tag aco75)

I used a circle punch to create a mask for the moon and then I got distressing with a variety of distress ink colours. I used the All Things Grow stamp set for the grass. To give the moon some dimension I used two subtle grey shades of Copic markers. I couldn’t think what to do with the sentiment, so I took my hubby’s advice and didn’t put one on.

And did you get a chance to see Venus travel between Earth and the sun this week? I wanted to show you a very cool photo that my brother-in-law Kirk took. (Maybe this is where some of my inspiration for my card came from!)

How awesome is that? I can’t believe how BIG the sun is. Thanks Kirk for letting me share your photo. You can check out his blog here.

Supplies

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps All Things Grow stamp set

Ink: Versafine – Onyx Black, Distress Inks – Broken China, Faded Jeans, Dusty Concord, Milled Lavender, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick

Card: Regal Craft Card – white square textured, X-Press It Blending card

Other Supplies: Blending tool, Mask It, Carl Craft circle punch, Copic Markers

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the rest of the DT projects. Their links are on my sidebar.

Until next time,

Print Candee – Just a note

*If you are looking for the latest AnnaBelle Stamps Challenge, see post below*

Welcome to the Creative Team’s blog hop for June where we showcase some of the amazing digital products that can be found at Print Candee. You should have arrived from the wonderful and talented Jocelyn‘s blog.

The team were given the following as our inspiration. We could either go with the colours or use it as a photo inspiration…well I did a bit of both. I like the distressed look of the numbers, so added a bit of distressing to my card and I also chose a muted colour palette – picking some clip art images from the store that were similar.

I have used some clip art birds from Adrienne Looman Designs (Clip art pastel birds and clip art bright birds) and also some branches from Pink Pueblo (Branch silhouette clip art). The background paper is from Print Candee (Aqua Blooms Paper Pack). I put it all into Illustrator and reduced the opacity of everything by about half and I also did some bird and branch flipping to come up with my one layer design. The sentiment is a Hero Arts digital sentiment from the ‘Say it’ set.

Supplies

Digital Images/Stamps: Clip art pastel birds and clip art bright birds by Adrienne Looman Designs, Branch silhouette clip art by Pink Pueblo, Aqua Blooms Paper Pack by Print Candee and Hero Arts ‘Say it’ digital sentiment set.

Ink: Canon colour printer

Card: White card for printing, AnnaBelle Stamps pre-cut white card

Other Supplies: Scissors for distressing, foam dimensionals

Here is the blog hop order, just in  case you get lost.

Say it with…paper piercing

Hey there,

Glad that you could join me for another challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps. Today is a bitter sweet day, as today is Jess‘ last day on the AnnaBelle DT. Jess has such an eye for CAS cards and she always embraces white space so naturally. It has been fun getting to know Jess and I wish her all the best.

(Tag aco74)

Paper piercing is something I like to do from time to time – usually as a border. I was hoping to be a little more creative than piercing a border, but my time is very limited at the moment and my creative juices are low (I can blame report writing at school) – so I went for a border.

I used a MFT Chevron Stripes die to create the background and then heat embossed the bird cage over the top. Pretty simple really. I have few more ideas for this die floating around in my head, so no doubt you’ll be seeing more of it in the future (when my reports are finished!)

Supplies

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps Love Birds stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps Garden Silhouette Stamp Set (sentiment)

Ink: Versafine – Onyx Black

Card: Tag – white, Hero Arts Layering Paper

Other Supplies:  Tim Holtz ruler, paper piercer tool, foam piercing mat, MFT Chevron Stripes die, Cuttlebug, black felt pen, Marbig adhesive tap runner, AnnaBelle Stamps 0.8mm twine – white, Twill ribbon, Heat tool, AnnaBelle Stamps clear embossing powder – Hi gloss

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the rest of the DT projects. Their links are on my sidebar. Be sure to drop by Jess’ blog and leave her some extra special love as well.

Until next time,

Marion

AnnaBelle Sketch Challenge: ABSC050

Wow…where has this last week gone? My has been super busy! We took the kids to my parent’s farm for a relaxing 5 days – but it has been a bit hectic catching up on everything since being back.

Anyway, hope you are ready for another challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps. This week is a sketch challenge.

(Tag absco50)

I must admit that this card doesn’t feel like a ‘me’ card – but it is nice to try something different now and again. I did have fun colouring in Lil’ Molly with Distress markers – they are awesome. I tend to shy away from images that have hair and skin as I am just not that good at colouring them in…but I guess practice makes perfect!

I pretty much kept to the sketch this time.

Supplies

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps Lil Molly’s Flowers stamp set, AnnaBelle Stamps Dotted Flowers Stamp Set (sentiment)

Ink: Versafine – Onyx Black, Ranger Distress Markers

Card: AnnaBelle Stamps Pre-cut smooth white cards

Other Supplies:  Zig Watercolour pen, Acquarello watercolour paper, Foam dimensionals, My Mind’s Eye – Lost and Found patterned paper, AnnaBelle Stamps 4mm Sprinkles – Icicles, Tombow adhesive, Tim Holtz ruler, paper piercer tool, foam piercing mat, WRMK Corner Chomper

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the rest of the DT projects. Their links are on my sidebar. Hope that you will find some time to play along.

Until next time,

Marion

Gingham goodness

Hi everyone,

I have made this little gift bag for the Gingham Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. It came together really easily using a whole lot of leftovers. The little paper bag was also a leftover – after making mother’s day gifts for the Mums in my playgroup. I just stamped both sides with a gingham stamp from AnnaBelle stamps. I love how it turned out.

Inside it is filled with lots of chocolate goodness!

Supplies

Stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps BBD#7 stamp set, Hero Arts Live and Laugh stamp set

Ink: Memento ink – Blue Danube, Versafine – Onyx Black

Card: Hero Arts Layering paper – Grenadine, Punch and Carnation, AnnaBelle Stamps smooth white cardstock, Green cardstock (brand unknown)

Other Supplies:  Educational Experience – paper gift bag, MFT Upsy Daisy Die,  Sizzix Sizzlits die – Flowers Branches and Leaves, Cuttlebug, AnnaBelle Stamps 4mmSprinkles – Icicles, Tombow adhesive, AnnaBelle Stamps 16mm satin ribbon – Lime juice, hole punch, chocolate goodies

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are having a fabulous day!

Until next time,

Marion
