For Some Bunny Special

Jane's Doodle Banner

Yesterday it was my turn over on the Jane’s Doodles blog. I had a lot of fun making this cute little bunny which is from the Spring stamp set. The background was also created using Jane’s new Stripes and Dots set. I added some Wink of Stella to the ears, tummy and bow for some sparkle.

Merry Christmas Tag and Scrabble Ornaments

Happy New Year! I’m popping in to share a Christmas tag that I made about a month ago and I have only got around to photographing it today! Better late than never. I hope you had a very Merry Christmas.

Another project that I have managed to complete over Christmas was to make some Scrabble tile ornaments. I originally saw the idea on Ardyth’s blog over a year ago which lead me to here. I am a huge Scrabble fan so this idea really appealed to me. During the year at a local market, I came across an old Scrabble set for $5 with the intention of making them. It wasn’t until last week, with the help of my handy-man Dad (who was staying with us for Christmas), they turned into a reality. I love how they turned out. I would have made more but I ran out of the tile holders.

I’ll definitely be on the lookout for another Scrabble set as I would love to make some more.

Smile with Penny Black

simplicity sister
Merry Christmas! I hope that you had a fabulous Christmas time with your family and friends.

Today I am sharing a tag with you using some Penny Black products. It felt good to get all crafty again…I don’t think I have made anything in the last 3 weeks – but we are finally home and enjoying some down time after the busyness (and fun) of the last month!

This tag is made purely from die cuts. The tag and the hexagon shape are from the Tagged Creative die set (I think I ran it through my Cuttlebug around 40 times to get all those hexagons!). Not a quick tag to make, but I had a lot of fun and I love the clean and graphic look! After all, it is rainbow and that would make anybody happy! The sentiment is from the Hooray Creative die set, and I cut it out 3 times and stacked them on top of each other. To give it a shiny puffy look, I coated it in some Ranger white enamel accents. To finish it off I sprinkled on some metallic gems and added some white ribbon.

Fox bookmark – Jane’s Doodles

Jane's Doodle Banner

I’ve been a little absent from blogland of late as I am currently on holidays with my family in Queensland. We have had a lot of fun in the sun today – the highlights being the kayaks and the catamarans. My 8 year old son has picked up kayaking so easily – he is a natural! We are off to my sister-in-laws wedding tomorrow where my daughter is a flower girl. Fun times!

Anyway, last week I had a project up on the Jane’s Doodles blog. A cute little fox from the Hello Friend stamp set and the sentiment is from the Read All About it stamp set. I had a lot of fun colouring this little guy in and felt that it didn’t need anything else so kept it very simple.

Birthday Kitty @ Muse

Hello. It is my week as the Muse at the Muse Card Club.

Today’s card is a simple one with some Copic colouring of a very cute image. It’s a bit hard to tell but the main image is popped up for some dimension. I love cats…I find them so relaxing.

And before I go,  I’ll leave you with some pictures of my beloved kitty cat – Mack. He is a stylish kitty if I do say so myself, but I am biased 🙂

Tag You’re It Challenge #12

It’s time for another Tag You’re It! Challenge.  This week’s inspiration tag is made by the lovely Tracey McNeely.

TYIC_12

I kept my tag simple with white heat embossing on red card stock, but added extra detail with some sparkle. The ‘Merry’ sentiment was coloured with a dark red Copic marker and then some clear Wink of Stella brush glitter pen was added over the top. You can see a tiny bit of sparkle in the photo.
