This week’s card is a very CAS card with some simple Copic colouring.

And just before I go, my family and I had the privilege of accompanying my husband to the USA on a business trip this past few weeks. We spent one week in Florida and the other in California. When in San Francisco we hired bikes and rode across the Golden Gate Bridge. I must admit I was unprepared for the cold weather in San Francisco!

And no trip would be complete without a visit to Disneyland. Here is my daughter finally getting to meet one of her favourite Disney characters.

Hope you can find some time to play along at Muse this week,

Marion

New challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps

I’m back with a new sketch for the AnnaBelle Stamps monthly challenge.

ac180

Today I’ve created a fun water coloured boat scene. Perfect for a little boy’s birthday. The boat is from the Boy’s Party Stamp set and the sentiment is from the Beside the Sea Stamp set. I had fun getting very inky with this one.

Faux Hand Painting

I’m back with another card for the Online card class – Watercolor for Cardmakers.

WC_participant

I have been totally inspired and simply blown away by both of Dawn Woleslagle’s watercolouring techniques shown on Day 7 and 8 of class. I hadn’t thought to do this technique, but since watching, I can’t stop. I’m addicted! I stamped the images in Distress ink and then I painted over the top with water. I had fun and I felt like a real painter!

Textural Effects

I’m back with my last card for the online card class – Clean and Simple Card making 3.

CS3_paticipant

I have created another one layer card, concentrating on adding texture with an embossing folder (and using a die as a diffuser) as shown by Julie Ebersole on Day 9. I also decided to give Dawn Woleslagle’s creative colouring technique a go as shown on Day 8. After stamping the floral image, I used a Copic O Blender pen to ‘watercolour’ the image. It is a really cool effect.

Creative colouring with watercolours

Yes, me again…lots of posting due to the online card class – Clean and Simple Card making 3.

CS3_paticipant

Today I tried some creative colouring techniques. I took Jennifer’s Rsaza water-colouring idea and modified it by creating a background rather than an image. Yep, all artsy and free form from me today. It started out being a one layer card, but I had to trim it in the end, so its almost a one layer card 🙂
