Case Study #36

Good afternoon,

Here is my entry to the latest Case Study #36 Challenge. The muse is Silke Ledlow. I loved everything about her card. I only decided today to enter into this challenge….and I only had 1.5 hours to make this card and post it…..and I had 3 mins to spare by the time I had finished!! Phew. Hope you like my take. The rose is from the DigiStamp Boutique from a collection called “Rose Collection”. I am also entering this card into the DigiStamp Boutique April Customer Competition. I coloured it in with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.

Supplies:

Stamps: The DigiStamp Boutique “Rose Collection”
Ink: Printer, Versacolor cubes – Petal Pink and Opera Pink
Card: Regal Craft Card (Square textured single fold), white card
Other Supplies: Prismacolor pencils, Gamsol, stubbs, Patterned paper (not sure of the brand – but it is an Australian made cotton paper), Kaisercraft pearls – snow, Kaisercraft pink grosgrain ribbon, Jane’s Doodles button, pink DMC floss, Glossy Accents (to adhere bow), Creative Memories Circle cutters, sponge dauber, Copic marker, Happy Mother’s Day sentiment (from a scrapbooking magazine from about 10 years ago – I found it in my stash!)

Happy Birthday Dino

Hi,

I have been playing around with the digi stamp ‘Eric the Dino’ from the DigiStamp Boutique again (in this case I think Eric looks very feminine – so Erica!). Having extra birthday cards around will always be put to good use sooner or later. I am entering this into the DigiStamp Boutique April customer competition.

I put Glossy Accents on the scales and her eyes and also a few spots on the banner – which is a Hero Arts Stamp from my favourite set – ‘Kiss from the Sun’.

Supplies:

Stamps: Eric Dino – Digi stamp from the DigiStamp Boutique, Hero Arts “Kiss from the Sun” (CL439)
Ink: Printer, Versafine Ink – Onyx Black
Card: Regal Craft Card (white horizontal single fold), white card
Other Supplies: Kaisercraft patterned paper (can’t find the name sorry!), Copic markers, glossy accents, kitchen twine, foam dimensionals, American Crafts black fabric covered Thickers – Doll, Weave Extras teeny tiny letter stickers – black, Creative Memories circle cutters, Prismacolor Pencils and gamsol (for light blue sky background), stubbs

Until next time,

Marion

Baby cards

Baby girls seem to be the flavour of the month in my world so I searched through my papers for some pretty pinks and this is what I came up with! The cute image is a digistamp from a set called Simply Baby Collection from the Digistamp Boutique. Cute digis with so many possibilities.

I am loving the simplicity of this first one – I printed the image and the sentiment straight onto the card and then a little paper pieced dress with some pearls and some scored lines – done!! The pink dotty paper is so beautiful – I bought it from my local craft shop but have no idea of the brand – it is an Australian made cotton paper – so soft and fun to play with!!

A close up of the paper piecing.

And the second one…I am not a huge  fan of this one, but I’ll post it anyway! I added some kindyglitz to make it sparkle!

I am entering both of these cards into the DigiStamp Boutique February competition.

3, 2, 1…blast off!

Hi,

This is a cute little birthday card that I made with a digi stamp (called Blast Off) from the Digistamp Boutique. Great for a little boy! Once again I coloured it in with prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. The stars are little brads that I have had in my collection for years – I once was a huge brad fan but not so much now, but I thought the card looked bare without them.

I used Glossy Accents on the windows and raised up the rocket with some foam to add some dimension.

Supplies:

Stamps: Blast Off Digi stamp from the Digistamp Boutique.
Ink: Printer
Card: Regal Craft Card (square white single fold), white card
Other Supplies:
Prismacolor pencils, Gamsol, stubbs, small silver star brads, foam, American Crafts Glossy Letter Thickers – Nutmeg, Weave Extras – Teeny Tiny letter stickers – 8mm black, felt pen, rule

See ya,

Marion

Just sharing another little baby card that I made a couple of weeks ago using the sitting giraffe digistamp from Squigglefly. Once again I used prismacolor pencils and gamsol. The sentiment was computer generated.

You can see the glossy accents a bit better in this photo on the bow.

Stamps: Digistamp ‘Sitting Giraffe’ from squigglefly
Ink: Printer
Card: Regal Craft Card (white square single fold), White cardstock, purple Bazzill, purple embossed card (not sure which brand)
Other Supplies: Prismacolor pencils, gamsol, stubbs, Glossy accents (on bow), White Kaisercraft flowers, S.E.I. buttons, thin white ribbon, herma dotto, foam dimensionals, Kaisercraft pearls, Computer font “CAC Pinafore”.

Hope you are having a great day! Very wet here!

Until next time,

Erica the dino

Hi,

Today’s card uses this cute little digi stamp from the Digistamp Boutique called Eric Dino – well actually ‘he’ became a ‘she’ and so I have called her Erica. Cute huh?

I have decided to enter her into two competitions – one over at the Digistamp Boutique in their October Competition and the other at The Papertake Weekly Challenge which I have recently come across. Their challenge is to create a card that incorporates 3 of something into your design – and I have 3 flowers to accompany Little Miss Erica.

Erica was coloured in with Copics and the flowers some Carl Craft daisy punches. I drew the stems and leaves myself. I also have finally bought some thickers as I have seen so many great cards lately using these stickers, so I thought I would give them a go and I like the results!

A close up of her plates, spots and eyes which have Glossy Accents on them but a bit hard to see in the photo).

Supplies:

Stamps: Eric the Dino from DigiStamp Boutique
Ink: Printer
Card: Regal Craft Card (white square single fold), White cardstock
Other Supplies: Copics, glossy accents, Carl Craft daisy punch (small and medium- which I punched onto white cardstock and coloured in with copics), Kaisercraft pearls, black felt pen, American Crafts Glossy Letter Thickers – Nutmeg, Weave Extras – Teeny Tiny letter stickers – 8mm black.

Thanks for looking,

Marion
