Well after another busy term at school, I can now say I am on holidays for 2 weeks! Hopefully I will get some time to take a breather and maybe do some more crafting!

This week at AnnaBelle Stamps we are saying it with Shades of Pink.

The Belles are using any Lil Belle stamp set for this challenge. I have used the umbrella from A Beautiful Day and the sentiment is from Lil Molly’s Flowers. I coloured in the umbrella with Distress Markers and a water colour pen.

AnnaBelle Stamps New Release and Blog Hop

Welcome to the latest stamp and die release blog hop for AnnaBelle Stamps. You should have arrived from the lovely Kylie’s blog.

Today the stamp set ‘Decorated Christmas’ is being released into the store along with it coordinating dies ‘Cuts by Design 003’ and also a decorative border die. Check them out.

This morning I showed you a Christmas Treat bag using the Decorated Christmas stamp set and die (go here if you missed it), so this afternoon I thought I would make a card using the decorative border die. It is designed to compliment the Decorated Christmas set, but I wanted to show you how versatile it is and I have made a non Christmas card and matching tag. Fun fun.

 After die cutting the border I coloured it in with different colours of Copic Markers. The sentiment is from the ‘Shape it Up’ Stamp set.

Say it with…Lime, Mango and Orange

Welcome to this week’s colour challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps. They are such bright, happy and summery colours don’t you think? Quite fitting for the warm breezy spring days that we have been having lately.

I made this mini card (7.5cm by 11cm) by first drawing a grid with lead pencil. I then stamped the small butterfly image from the Whimsy Flowers set repeatedly using the grid as a guide. When all the butterflies were stamped I coloured in the negative space around the images with 3 shades of Copic markers. I finished off the card by going over the grid lines with a felt pen and ruler. The result was a rather colourful and graphic looking pattern.

I have created this card for the Repetition Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

Say it with…ABSC053

It is the last Friday of the month, so that means a sketch challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps.

I’ll be honest here…I struggled with this one. It was the half circle that threw me, so I took some liberties with the sketch which I turned. Hope that I wasn’t bending the rules too much!

The main panel is distress ink blending (like I showed in my video tutorial this week), but for some variation, I sprayed it lightly with a mister to create a splotchy water effect (I think it looks like a night sky full of stars!). I stamped the birds and cages from Love Birds and the sentiment is Garden silhouettes. The yellow is washi tape! This week’s winner will receive the awesome Fanciful Flowers stamp set – one of my favourites!

Video Tutorial – Peace on Earth

Happy Tuesday everyone,

Today I have a video to share with you for AnnaBelle Stamps. I am really liking one layered cards at the moment and so decided to create one using a couple of different techniques – masking and blending with Distress Inks. I also love silhouette stamping over the top of inked backgrounds. I think it makes for a dramatic card with not too much effort.
